Examples of fleet setup
Selected examples of installations suitable for depot and workplace charging.
Typical scenarios
Employees’ company cars (home charging)
We can help with the installation of a charging stand at the employee’s home and accounting for the electricity used to charge the company car.
Home care and service driving
When uptime at the charging stations is important and the cars must be ready for full operation the next morning.
Corporate fleets
Total solution with charging at the company’s address(es) and the possibility of charging on the go via roaming partners.

AC or DC for the fleet? (20–80% charge time, thumb)
Table with typical charging times from 20% to 80%. We indicate the assumed battery capacity per model. Real times vary with temperature, the car’s charging curve and available power.
| Model | Assumed battery (kWh) | AC 11 kW | DC 50 kW | DC 150 kW |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tesla Model Y (Standard Range) | 60 | approx. 3h 40m | approx. 50 m | approx. 25–30m |
| VW ID.4 (Standard Range) | 55 | approx. 3h 20m | approx. 45–50m | approx. 25 m |
| Skoda Enyaq (Standard Range) | 63 | approx. 3h 50m | approx. 50–55m | approx. 25–30m |
| VW ID. Buzz Cargo | 77 | approx. 4h 40m | approx. 60–70m | approx. 30–40m |
| Mercedes eVito | 60 | approx. 3h 40m | approx. 50m | approx. 25–30m |
| Kia PV5 Cargo | 51 | approx. 3h 05m | approx. 40–45m | approx. 20–25m |
| Toyota Proace Electric | 50 | approx. 3h 00m | approx. 40–45m | approx. 20–25m |
Note: AC times assume 3-phase 11 kW and that the car can utilize 11 kW. DC times vary mostly due to charging curve and temperature.
FAQ: charging solution for fleets
Should we choose AC or DC?
It depends on your needs: Do the cars need to get out and drive again quickly, or are they parked overnight? How much capacity do you have available? These are some of the parameters that determine whether you should choose an AC solution, a DC solution or a combination.
Can we start with part of the fleet?
Yes. You can start with part of your fleet and expand gradually as the need grows.
We can create an integrated solution in several ways, depending on how your company cars are used:
- At the company’s address(es): depot and workplace charging, dimensioned for your operation.
- Home of employees: if company cars are taken home, we can establish home charging with the right control and overview.
- Roaming for charging on the go: we can set up a solution so that you can charge company cars at roaming partners with access to 500,000+ charging points in Europe.
How do we ensure uptime?
The solution can be set up with operational monitoring, so that AmpGo can react quickly if something deviates.
- Monitoring: we can follow the status and error messages continuously.
- Remote control: AmpGo can remotely control the charging stations, so many errors can be corrected online.
- Support and Escalation: if a fault requires a physical visit, we plan it quickly based on priority and operation.
The vast majority of errors can be rectified online, so that uptime is kept high.
Should we choose AC or DC?
It depends on the stopping pattern and need for speed. We advise based on your data.
How much capacity do we need?
We start with the number of cars, daily driving and how long the cars typically stand still. We then make a capacity and expansion plan so that you can start with part of the fleet and expand in stages.
How do we handle access and internal distribution?
We can set up the solution to suit your operation, for example with clear rules for who can charge, and an overview that makes administration simple.
Can we get statistics and data for ESG or fleet accounting?
Yes. It is possible to follow statistics and data for both company cars and charging stations. Data can be made available to the company so that it can be used in connection with ESG reporting and/or the company’s fleet accounting.
Can you charge on 3rd party charging stands?
Yes. With a solution from AmpGo, it is possible, if you wish, to charge with a number of roaming partners. It gives access to around 500,000 charging points distributed in Europe.
