Real power (kW)

We help you find the right size charger based on your needs, and thus the right power (kW).

Design

Location of the charging stations and adaptation of design. Only for the company’s own vehicles, or accessible to the public.

Charging at roaming partners

When you are on the move, it is possible to use our network of roaming partners throughout Denmark and Europe.

DC charging for heavy transport

DC solutions can be relevant for warehouse and logistics.

From idea to operation

We help with everything from planning to full operation. AmpGo wants to become your partner in charging vehicles in heavy transport.

We start by mapping your driving needs and how long the vehicles are typically stationary. In this way, we can advise you whether you should choose an AC or DC solution, and which DC effect covers the need. We deliver solutions from 50kW and up to 1.2 MW (1200 kW).

If there is a need for fast charging, but the mains connection is limited, we can also offer solutions with a DC charger and battery buffer, so that you can charge up to 350kW at lower mains connection.

Low network connection is not a stumbling block

If you have a low grid connection and need DC charging for a truck or bus, it can still be done with a DC charger with an integrated battery.

The reason may be rented land, long delivery times for extra mains connection or local restrictions on available amperes in the area. In those situations, a battery-integrated solution can be the way to fast charging without waiting for a large network expansion.

20–80% charging time for electric trucks (thumb)

Table with examples of charge time from 20% to 80% at 50/150/300 kW. Each model is taken into account max charging power. We show min/max battery where it appears from the manufacturer source.

Note: Times are indicative. Real times depend on charging curve, temperature, preheating, SoC window and actual power of the station.

Why charging solution for transport from AmpGo?

3 reasons why truckers choose AmpGo as a partner.

Route and charging plan (operational safety)

We start from your routes, breaks and depot, and create a charging plan that ensures the cars are ready for the next trip.

Mains connection

We take your mains connection into account, and if the connection is limited, we can combine a DC charger with a battery buffer, so that you can get high charging power without a large network expansion.

Service agreement: monitoring and support

Possibility of a service agreement on the system, where AmpGo monitors, provides support and can remotely resolve many errors, so that uptime is kept high.

FAQ: charging station for trucks

My utility company can’t supply additional amps, what do we do?

If it is not possible (or takes a long time) to get more amps from the utility company, we can often still get started.

We can see if we can utilize the capacity (amps) you have today and combine one DC charger with battery buffer, so fast charging can take place without requiring a very high mains connection.

A charger with battery buffer can also be relevant if the delivery time for increased mains connection is long, but the need for fast charging is acute.

Should we choose AC or DC?

It depends on your operation: how long the vehicles are typically stationary and how quickly they have to get back on the road.

  • AC is often a good match for depot and overnight charging or when stops are long.
  • DC is typically relevant for short stops, high daily driving or when you want to be able to replenish a lot of energy in a short time.
  • We deliver solutions from 50kW and up to 1.2 MW (1200 kW), and dimensions based on routes, breaks and capacity on site.

If the mains connection is limited, a battery buffer be an option for high charging power without large grid expansion.

Can the solution be expanded when the fleet grows?

Yes. We design the solution so that you can start at a suitable scale and expand in stages.

  • We plan location, cabling and expansion options from the start.
  • You can typically add more charging points or higher power when the need increases.
  • We help with an expansion plan so that operations and user flow continue to work for large vehicles.
Can AmpGo handle operations?

Yes. We can take responsibility for operation, monitoring and support via agreement, so that uptime is kept high.

  • Monitoring of status and errors
  • Remote support whenever possible, as many errors can be fixed online
  • Escalation for physical service if required

It gives you a solution that is easier to operate when charging is critical for operation.

Can you get high power (kW) with low mains connection (amps)?

Often yes. If you need fast charging, but a limited network connection, a solution is possible battery buffer be relevant. The battery is continuously charged from the grid and can deliver high charging power for shorter periods when the vehicles need to be charged quickly.

We always assess case-by-case based on your mains connection, driving pattern and desired charging speed.

Can you charge at other charging stations on the go?

Yes. If you wish, with a solution from AmpGo we can provide access to charging at roaming partners, so that the trucks can charge on the move in Denmark and Europe.

  • Monthly invoice: You receive an invoice once a month based on consumption.
  • Overview: Via our online platform you can follow your monthly consumption for all your vehicles.
Can my charging stations be public for a period of time?

Yes. We can make the charging stations public all the time or for a period of time according to your wishes.

  • Payment for guests: We can put a card terminal on the charging stand, so that guests can pay by payment card without downloading an app or creating a user.
  • Visibility in charging apps: When the charging stand is set to public, it can also be made available in charging apps via roaming partners.
